Beaches and forest
The Vendée is a very popular region for its fine sand beaches and great landscape. Laze on one of the beaches in the sunny climate of the Vendée or ramble in the natural environment of the public forest. In both cases you’ll be enjoying a fantastic setting during your stay at our campsite in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez.
Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez counts 10 kilometres of fine sand beaches and 3 km of cliffs. It is one of the longest coast lines in the Vendée. It offers 12 different beaches:
- Plage de la Parée Préneau, (nearest to the campsite, at 1.8 km)
- Plage des Demoiselles
- Plage des 60 bornes
- Plage des Salins
- Plage des Becs
- Plage des Mouettes
- Plage de la Pege

A few minutes cycling from the campsite you’ll be reaching the public forest of Pays de Monts. This forest spreads for 600 ha over the town of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, offering various flora and fauna: cypresses, oak trees and mostly pine trees. Make use of the hiking tracks to avoid getting lost and fully enjoy a relaxing hike.
